Frome Town Youth 0 vs 5 Frome Town Ladies

Frome Town Ladies returned to winning ways with a 5-0 win in their derby match. Both teams started well, but Frome Ladies Naomi and Jamie had numerous chances on goal; with an excellent Youth keeper saving them all. Some good counter attack from Youth kept defenders Jodie and Molly on their toes clearing everything up at the back. Ladies midfielders Mo-Jo and Iris kept the tackles going and played some excellent passes to Tiegan and Bob who also came close to finishing. A deserved 0-0 at half time.

Second half saw Ladies up the pressure and with a keeper change for Youth gave Ladies the chance to go one up when Tiegan hammered the ball home.

With Ladies starting to play the football we all know they can, Jamie came close again as did Lucy C. After some good play Bob picked up the ball outside the area, shaped up and lifted the ball into the top right corner, an absolute wonder goal.

Ladies were now in their stride, but youth continued to push forward with Ladies keeper Jess having to make so crucial saves. On the break Ladies passed the ball up the field to find Tiegan that again powered the ball into the net.

A fourth deserved goal came from Mo-Jo after a lot of hard work attacking and defending. Youth were unfortunate to score an own goal as the final whistle beckoned.

A final muddy birthday puddle for Jodie sealed the day for the team, well done girls
